COUNCIL OF LEGAL EDUCATION VISITS UNIMAID
The Vice-Chancellor University of Maiduguri, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, on Tuesday the 16th of September 2025, received a delegation from the Council of Legal Education at Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building. The visit was for the accreditation of the University’s Faculty of Law.
In his remarks, Professor Mele warmly welcomed the team to the University and expressed appreciation for their dedication to innovation and continuous improvement in legal education across Nigeria. He assured the delegation of the University’s full cooperation and support throughout the accreditation exercise.
He further urged them to help identify areas that require improvement in order to enhance students’ learning and capacity to contribute meaningfully to national development. The Vice-Chancellor concluded by thanking the delegation and wishing them success in their assignment.
Leading the Council’s delegation was the Director General of the Nigerian Law School (NLS), Professor Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN. He explained that the visit was aimed at conducting an accreditation exercise for the Faculty of Law. Professor Chiroma assured the University management that, upon completion of the exercise, the team would provide the necessary guidance and recommendations.
He also expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and the entire University community for their support, cooperation, and warm hospitality.
