UNIMAID CLINCHES VICTORY AT NATIONAL ORIENTATION AGENCY DEBATE
The University of Maiduguri debating team, represented by Mbaya Yusuf Yakubu and Joy David Alewa, both 500-level students of Private Law, has emerged winner of the 2025 National Campus Debate organized by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Borno State. The competition was held through a visual meeting recently.
Reacting to the achievement, the University Registrar, Mal. Ahmad Alhaji Lawan announced that the team will now represent Borno State at the regional level. He described the victory as a reflection of the students’ outstanding debating skills, critical thinking, and commitment to academic excellence.
He further noted that the university community is proud of this feat, expressing confidence that the team will continue to excel and bring honour to the institution.
