The University Demonstration Secondary School (UDSS) marked its 27th Speech and Prize Giving Day with a vibrant celebration of academic excellence, held on Friday the 1st August, 2025, at the El-Kanemi Hall of the University.
In her address, the principal, Mrs. Aishatu Kaka Bukar applauded the university management, staff, and dedicated teachers for their unwavering support, commitment, and tireless efforts in making UDSS a true hub of learning and excellence.
She urged students to remain focused and passionate in the pursuit of their academic and life goals, emphasizing that education remains the strongest foundation for future success.
Guest speaker Mallam Abdulaziz Yusuf, a computer training analyst at the university, highlighted the critical role of computer literacy in today's world. He explained how digital skills are now essential for academic and professional growth and urged students to embrace technology as a vital tool for their futures.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Head Girl Fatima Ahmed Lawan expressed heartfelt appreciation to their parents and teachers for their consistent support and guidance.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of awards to outstanding students across various levels. The prize for the Best Graduating Student was awarded to Tijjani Fatima Jidda.
