UNIVERSITY VC FLAGS OFF ANTI-RABIES AND DHLPP VACCINATION CAMPAIGN
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, has flagged off a vaccination campaign against rabies and DHLPP on campus. The initiative is aimed at protecting the university community, including students, staff, and animals, from these deadly diseases.
 
The flag-off ceremony was held on 21st August, 2025, at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the university.
 
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the importance of the vaccines in preventing the spread of rabies and other infectious diseases that may be transmitted from animals, particularly canines. He urged members of the university community to take advantage of the vaccination program and ensure that their pets are vaccinated.
 
The Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Professor Maryam Bukar Kolo, commended the University Management for sponsoring the anti-rabies and DHLPP vaccination campaigns on campus.
 
The highlight of the occasion was the official flag-off of the vaccination exercise by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele.
