CENTRE FOR INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY HOST WORKSHOP TRAINING FOR RADIOGRAPHY STUDENTS
The University of Maiduguri has reiterated its commitment to strengthening institutional reform and academic research through the Centre for Instructional Technology by organizing a targeted training for students on PowerPoint production and presentation techniques.
This was disclosed by Professor Asheikh Lawan Gana, Director of the Centre for Instructional Technology, during a three-day training workshop in collaboration with the Department of Radiography, University of Maiduguri,
held at the Centre on Monday the 9th March, 2026.
Professor Lawan Gana emphasized that the training was aimed at equipping students with the necessary skills to ensure effective delivery of PowerPoint presentations during seminars and research presentations.
He explained that the workshop was designed to strengthen participants’ technical competence in preparing, navigating, and uploading their research presentations using PowerPoint.
The Head of the Department of Radiography, Dr. Mathew Garba Abubakar, highlighted the benefits of the training to the students, particularly in improving their PowerPoint production and presentation techniques. He noted that the workshop would help streamline academic processes and enhance students’ access to effective presentation tools.
He urged all participants to remain fully engaged and committed in order to maximize the benefits of the training.
The workshop featured PowerPoint slide presentations and practical training sessions conducted by resource persons on the fundamentals of effective presentations.
