KANURI DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (KUFUTILO) Pays COURTESY VISIT TO VC
The University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, received members of the Kanuri Development Association (KUFUTILO) on a courtesy visit on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, in his office at the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building, University of Maiduguri.
During the visit, Professor Mele expressed his gratitude for their warm gesture and commended the association's efforts in preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Kanuri people. He reiterated the university's support towards fostering community-based initiatives and strengthening partnerships that uphold cultural values.
Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Ali Usman highlighted that the Kanuri Development Association is a cultural organization committed to preserving and promoting the Kanuri language, traditional customs, and religious values, especially among members of the Kanuri community in Borno State and Nigeria at large.
The President of the Association, Alhaji Ali Usman; Vice President, Abdulkarim Mustapha; Zonal Coordinator, Buba Jafar; and other members of KUFUTILO were present at the meeting.
