UNIMAID COUNSELLING AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT CENTRE PAYS A COURTESY VISIT TO PROCUREMENT OFFICE .

In a strategic move to enhance the infrastructural development and service delivery of the University of Maiduguri Counselling and Human Development Centre, the officials of the Centre have paid courtesy visits to various units and centres, including the Procurement unit. The courtesy visits are part of the ongoing efforts to collaborate and upgrade the Centre's facilities to enhance service delivery to students, staff and the larger university community. 

The Director of the Centre, Prof Ali Mburza, who led the delegation from the Counselling Centre was warmly received by the Head of the Procurement Unit, QS Umar Adamu. The meeting focused on building cordial relationships and understanding the processes required to initiate procurement for the centres' planned developmental projects. 

Speaking during the meeting, the Head of the Procurement Unit emphasised the importance of adhering to due process and regulation guidelines. He further assured the visiting team of the Procurement Office's readiness to provide guidance and support "we are pleased to work with the Counselling and Human Development Centre as they take steps to improve their operations. Our office remains committed to transparency, efficiency, and timely delivery of all procurement services, " he stated. 

In his closing remarks, the Centre's Director expressed appreciation for the warm reception and insightful discussions, noting that the visit provided the much-needed clarification on the procedures and processes of procurement. He also reaffirmed their commitment to aligning their plans with the University's administrative framework. Both offices agreed to maintain close collaboration henceforth with follow-up meetings and submission of relevant documents. 

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the Centre's developmental drive and underscores the University's broader commitment to students' welfare, mental health and professional development services.
