UNIMAID IGBO COMMUNITY VISITS VC
The Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele affirmed that his administration will continue to prioritize collaboration and community engagement, adding that his background as a scholar with over two decades of experience has positioned him well to promote academic growth and innovation.
He said this when the Igbo community of the university paid him a courtesy visit in his office on 15 September, 2025.
He then expressed his gratitude for their support and pledged to foster inclusivity and excellence in the University.
Professor Toby Egbe, who spoke on behalf of the delegates expressed their solidarity and support, acknowledging the Vice Chancellors wealth of experience and the vision he brought to his esteemed position, adding that as a community they pledge to collaborate with the University Management to Foster an environment of inclusivity where every voice is heard and valued.
Professor Toby Egbe then recognised the importance of unity in driving the university forward and committed to working together to promote academic excellence, cultural diversity, and social responsibility.
