The Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele received a delegation from the Federal College of Education (FCE), Gwoza in his office at the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building onThursday. Professor Laminu Mele welcomed the delegation with warmth and praised their resilience and commitment to advancing education despite challenges facing the region. He assured the team of UNIMAID’s support, particularly in the areas of postgraduate training, academic linkages, and capacity building.
Leading the FCE Gwoza delegation, Professor Sule Tagi, who serves as Chairman of the Governing Council of the institution, highlighted the purpose of the visit as one aimed at strengthening institutional linkages and exploring mutual areas of collaboration between the two institutions. He expressed gratitude to the University of Maiduguri for its longstanding academic support, and further emphasized FCE Gwoza’s desire to deepen the partnership, especially in areas of staff development, research collaboration and academic mentorship.
