THE UNIVERSITY VC RECEIVES COMMITTEE ON CONGREGATION REPRESENTATIVES OF CONVOCATION COUNCIL
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, on Friday, 8th August 2025, received the Committee on Congregation Representatives of the Convocation Council in his office at the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building.
Prof. Mele commended the committee for its dedication and emphasized the importance of participatory governance in university administration. He assured the committee of his full support and pledged to carefully review the recommendations contained in the report they submitted.
He highlighted the adoption of e-election as a step toward ensuring greater transparency and wider participation in the University’s decision-making processes, noting that this digital shift reflects trust in technology to promote fairness and efficiency.
The delegation was led by the committee Chairman, Professor Abdul Dauda, who explained that the visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and keep the university leadership informed about the committee’s activities and progress. He expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and University management for their continued support and urged them to consider the committee’s recommendations.
