UNIMAID SHINES WITH MULTIPLE MEDALS AT THE JUST-CONCLUDED NUGA GAMES
The University of Maiduguri emerged 14th out of 60 universities that participated in the just-concluded Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) hosted by the University of Jos, Plateau State.
The University secured four gold medals in the following categories:
● Women’s 3000 metres
● Men’s 20km walk race
● Women’s Taekwondo
● Women’s Judo
The university also claimed several bronze medals across different events, including:
● Women’s Judo (Open Weight)
● Women’s Judo (Heavyweight)
● Male Basketball
● Women’s Taekwondo (Team Event)
● Women’s Taekwondo
● Men’s Hockey
● Women’s Hockey
● Men’s Cricket Five (5) Aside
● Men's Cricket Eleven (11) Aside
