UNIMAID TO PARTICIPATE IN NUGA PRELIMINARY SPORTS COMPETITION IN GOMBE
The University of Maiduguri will participate in the forthcoming 2025 NUGA Preliminary Competition scheduled to hold in Gombe from 24th to 28th September 2025. The event serves as a qualifying series for the main NUGA Games, which will take place in Jos in December 2025.
University athletes will compete in the following categories:
1. Athletics (Track and Field)
2. Football (Male and Female)
3. Basketball (Male and Female)
4. Volleyball (Male and Female)
5. Handball (Male and Female)
6. Badminton (Male and Female)
7. Table Tennis (Male and Female)
8. Tennis (Male and Female)
9. Taekwondo (Male and Female)
10. Judo (Male and Female)
11. Chess (Male and Female)
The competition will take place at Gombe State University and will feature universities from across the North-East region.
