VICE CHANCELLOR RECEIVES THE DIRECTOR CENTRE FOR THE STUDY AND PROMOTION OF CULTURAL SUSTAINABILITY
The University of Maiduguri has reaffirmed its commitment and support to fostering collaboration with Centre for the Study and Promotion of Cultural Sustainability (CSPCS) in a bid to enhance Educational Development and contribute to National progress.
This dedication was emphasized by the Vice Chancellor during a courtesy visit by the Director of the Centre, Professor Abba Isa Tijjani, to the Vice-chancellor Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, at the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building on Thursday ,25th September 2025.
Professor Mele expressed his deep appreciation for the visit describing it as a significant step towards strengthening partnerships with the international agencies to make a positive impact. He therefore reiterated the university's unwavering support and encouraged other Centres to showcase their work to the public.
The Director of the Centre,Professor Tijjani highlighted that the Centre partners with international universities and organisations to conduct researches and educational programmes to address the impact of insecurity on cultural heritage in the northeast and lake Chad areas.
The visit concluded with an exchange of goodwill messages and presentation of a plaque to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele.
